In the Olympics, a high jumper cleared a height of about 2 Meters. If the same person were to compete in the Olympics held in the moon how high can he jump? (clue: the gravity on the moon is six times weaker than on earth)
He will jump to a height between 2 and 12 m, because even though he jumps to a height of 2 m on Earth, his center of gravity is shifted by a much lesser amount (maybe from 1 m to 2 m, for example). So on the moon it will be shifted by 6 times this amount (since the moon's gravity is 6 times weaker). So he will jump to a height of 6+1=7 m.
